PART 1:

For my junior Emerging Media project, The X-Screen team and I developed one of my ideas to combine traditional media with elements of new media. In the X-screen experience, the user would watch a show and interact with it through the use of a mobile app. In our test demo, Parallel Jordan, the user works to solve a murder mystery by collecting evidence and thinking like a detective.

Robo City

PART 1:

I had to create a piece of art entirely in Photoshop. I used a keyborad and mouse exclusively. The assignment was to create a work that evoked a certain emotion. I decided to focus on uncertianty. Click the Image to see the full size.

PART 2:

Once the piece of art was done, I had to add an interactive element to it. This was meant to enhance the work as a whole by bringing the still image to life. Using HTML and Phaser I created the final project.

Movie Data

For this project I had to create some kind of interactive data visualization. I decided to compare movies based on their box office earnings and critical reception. I set out to prove that movies that are generally well received by critics don't always make the most money.

Star Wars Viewing Companion

I created an app that was designed to be a viewing companion for the first Star Wars film. The idea is that as the movie progressed, different symbols would appear at the bottom of the screen. The user would then press the corresponding symbol on their device and be provided with behind the scenes info and expanded lore. Each slide is accompanied by intractable elements.
